Berlin-based Japanese instrumentalist and composer Masayoshi Fujita, a.k.a. “El fog”, stands out from the others with his unusual use of the acoustic instrument, the vibraphone. Influenced by jazz and electronic music, he liberally uses different objects such as pieces of metal and foil, pushing the limits of this instrument. Praised by the magazine “The Wire”, Masayoshi Fujita caught the attention of experimental music fans, due to his collaboration with German electronic musician Jan Jelinek. Individually recording all of the instruments in his albums, he surprised his followers with his 4th album in 2015 which included violin, cello, flute, clarinet, accordion, piano and drums. Fujita’s goal is to have his listeners visualize images, settings and stories in their heads. In this highly anticipated performance, you could discover the depth of the vibraphone.
