Born in İstanbul. Yeliz Gürkan worked in the directing department as a live broadcast director for Okan Bayülgen between 2004-2012. She worked as an assistant director and second director for many TV series and films between 2012-2019. She was a project consultant for the TRT Belgesel Channel’s “Uslu Duramayanlar”. She made her debut film “A Man Without a Phone” in 2019. She attended Zeynep Atakan’s workshops at YapimLab, and Pitching Studio. Yeliz made her second short film "Who Cares” in 2020. The winner of the Sabancı Foundation Short Film Platform 5th Short Film Competition Honorable Mention Award was given to Yeliz Gürkan with the film "Who Cares”. Yeliz continues her works in TV & Film industry.
