Three Treasures - I
Facilitator: Filiz Bozkuş
Time: 15:00 – 18:00
In this workshop, we will approach the concepts of "Body, Mind, and Spirit" as the "Three Fundamental Treasures" of humans. We will explore how to develop and direct these abilities as humans who:
• Stand upright on two feet with free hands capable of dancing,
• Leave objects behind for future generations with our hands,
• Imagine, design, think, and transform ideas into reality with our minds, creating meanings and stories.
How can we unlock our treasures for ourselves and our lives? What does it mean to "unlock" these treasures? How can we incorporate the practice that reminds us these three treasures are actually "one" into our daily lives? The workshop will explore how we as humans, unlike other living beings, tend to block the natural flow of life and create problems or diseases. How can we relieve these blockages and find the joyful path for ourselves and life?
This workshop, led by actress and dancer Filiz Bozkuş, is inspired by the teachings of Iida Shigemi, who has trained her for 13 years in the "Three Treasures" approach. It will explore the foundations of acting and dance from the perspectives of Eastern medicine, existential philosophy, and psychology. We will also discover how the concept of the "Three Treasures" is reflected in the culture, traditions, and customs created by humankind.
