Concert Tomas Fujiwara 7 Poets Trio
Drummer Tomas Fujiwara, who has worked with a number of musicians including Anthony Braxton, Matana Roberts and Mary Halvorson, gave life to 7 Poets Trio in April 2018 during his residency at John Zorn’s famous venue The Stone in New York. Tomas Fujiwara 7 Poets Trio will be at Akbank Sanat on October 3.
Concert Kurt Elling
Kurt Elling, who has been nominated for a Grammy Award 16 times and won twice in his 25-year career, is recognized by many prestigious publications as one of the most original jazz vocalists of all time. With his breathtaking baritone voice and modern classics, Kurt Elling will perform at Cemal Reşit Rey on October 7.
Concert Tatiana Eva-Marie
Nicknamed “the Gypsy-jazz warbler” by the New York Times and acclaimed as a “millennial shaking up the jazz scene” by magazine Vanity Fair, Tatiana Eva-Marie is inspired by music produced in different geographies at different times of the 20th century. Tatiana Eva-Marie will be at Ses Theatre on October 8.
Concert Harold López-Nussa
Harold López-Nussa will be at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Platinum Stage on October 10 and his message is clear: “I love to dance and I always love it when people are dancing. It says to me that the music is alive.”
Concert Rodrigo Amarante
Rodrigo Amarante, who has also worked with Brazilian music icons Gal Costa and Gilberto Gil, will be at Babylon on October 11.
Conversation Akbank 42nd Contemporary Artists Prize Exhibition Artist Talks - 2
