This year, the festival will host more than 30 popular and eagerly awaited jazz musicians on its stage.
The 34th Akbank Jazz Festival is preparing to host more than 30 musicians in dozens of venues between September 28 and October 13. The festival, organized and programmed by Akbank Sanat in collaboration with Pozitif, which brings together every discipline of art with art lovers, is preparing to bring special performances to music lovers.
“Among the first names announced for the festival is legendary jazz vocalist Kurt Elling, who has twice received the Grammy Award, for which he has been nominated 16 times in his 25-year career. There is also Cuban pianist Harold López-Nussa, who won the Montreux Jazz Piano Competition in 2005 and made a name for himself with his interpretation of Latin jazz music. Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger Rodrigo Amarante, who made a name for himself with the soundtrack of the Narcos series 'Tuyo' and took the audience on a journey with his ability to bring different genres together, is also on the list. Tatiana Eva-Marie, described by Vanity Fair as “the millennial shaking up the jazz scene”, will also be on stage. Saxophone virtuoso Isaiah Collier, who creates gripping dialogues both on stage and in the studio with his orchestra The Chosen Few, will also perform at the festival. Tickets for the 34th Akbank Jazz Festival, which is full of excitement with new names to be announced, will go on sale on June 12. In addition, a 10% discount will be applied to Akbank cards for festival tickets to be sold through Biletix.
