EABS, Before: LoftCaz Sessions
Founded in Wroclaw, Poland in 2012, EABS is a versatile jazz collective whose foundations were laid at the now-defunct Puzzle Club (2012-2014) under the name Electro-Acoustic Beat Sessions. EABS, whose discography includes albums that pay homage to iconic names such as Krzysztof Komeda and Sun Ra, as well as collaborations with musicians and groups from different ends of the world map such as Tenderlonious, Ben Lamar Gay, Jaubi, Jeru The Damaja, is in a constant state of creation with the concept of “reconstruction from deconstruction”. EABS was included in The Guardian's Best Global Albums of 2023 list with their album In Search of a Better Tomorrow recorded with Pakistani band Jaubi. They released the six-track Reflections of Purple Sun album on Astigmatic Records last May. With an original sound that combines jazz traditions with modern approaches, EABS will be at Frankhan on October 3. LoftCaz writers Eray Düzgünsoy and Atilla Ayginin will open the evening with their selection of new and extraordinary jazz pieces.
