Editing Workshop - Emir Etminan
Emir Etminan, an experienced editor, will share his experiences on editing, which is one of the most creative and most important stages of film, with the participants. The workshop will be held in collaboration with KuDa (Film Editors' Society of Turkey).
1983 Iran born Emir Etminan lives in Istanbul. He graduated from Tabriz University, Department of Performing Arts and Acting. He is doing his master's degree on cinema at Istanbul Nişantaşı University. He has been working as an editor in the sector for 10 years. He is the award-winning editor of Jafar Panahi's latest film "No Bears", which received the Special Jury Award at the Venice Film Festival, and Panah Panahi’s “Hit The Road", which premiered in Cannes. He has worked with important directors of Iranian cinema such as Asghar Yousefinezhad, Maryam Zahirimehr, Reza Jamali and Nader Saeivar.
* All workshops and talks organized as part of the 19th Akbank Short Film Festival are free of charge. Participation is limited to side events of the festival. There is a quota of 40 people for this workshop.
