MOVEMENT RESEARCH AND IMPROVISATION
Executive: Leyla Postalcıoğlu
Moderator: Ömer Akgüllü
Hour: 15:00-18:00
In this workshop, where we will approach improvisation as a composition method as well as a practice of perception and self-expression, we will explore the possibilities of responding to what occurs in the moment through movement research and predetermined instructions, and look for ways to transform what we feel into movement. As we feel, with what we remember from somewhere, starting from a common starting point, being aware of every step and at the same time forgetting everything, dancing, in rhythm, chasing the rhythm, listening to each other's movements or postures, with time-space-weight and other things. We will perform improvisational practices by interacting, being aware of the support points and physical limits of the body, and stretching all of these with imagination and games.
