Burcu Aykar
She was born in 1977 in Istanbul. She graduated from Boğaziçi University Psychology Department. She received her master's degree on Film Theory at the University of Southampton. She worked as an editor in the magazine “Sinema”. She distributed cinema films with her own company, SIR Film. She was the editor-in-chief of “Total Film” cinema magazine. She wrote and directed the short films "Birth" and "Death" with Uygar Şirin. She still writes for the magazine "Altyazı". "My Sister,” made in 2019, is her third short film.
Ayça Çiftçi completed her undergraduate degree in Cinema and Television department and master's degree in Cultural Studies at Istanbul Bilgi University. She worked as a research assistant for five years at the same university. She completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Media Arts at the Royal Holloway London University. She gave lectures and seminars at various universities and institutions. Currently, she is a faculty member at Istanbul Şehir University and Istanbul Bilgi University. She continues to write cinema articles in Altyazı Cinema Magazine, where she has been a member of the editorial board since 2006.
