Prof. Dr. Marcus Graf was born in 1974, Germany. After studying Cultural Sciences and Aesthetical Communication in the Institute for Fine Arts, Aesthetics and Art History at the University of Hildesheim in Germany, he has worked for several institutions of art and culture as a curator, instructor, writer, project manager, or artist. He received his Ph.D. in 2010 from the Institute of Contemporary Art History, Aesthetics and Art Theory at Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design. Graf has been a faculty member at Yeditepe University Faculty of Fine Arts since 2003. He became a professor in 2017 and has been working as the Head of the Arts and Cultural Management Department since 2019.
Marcus Graf, who has been living in Istanbul since 2001, has curated more than 100 exhibitions at various institutions such as Siemens Sanat, Plato Sanat, Akbank Sanat Art Center, Milli Reasürans, Contemporary Istanbul, Baksı Museum, Erimtan Museum and Elgiz Museum.
Graf, who has worked as an art writer for many books, chapters in books, exhibition catalogs and magazines, lives in Istanbul as a curator and art writer if you are an academic.
