Setting out with the idea to make Turkish music with universal standards, Jülide Özçelik was appreciated by not only the jazz scene, but a vast group when she released her debut “Jazz İstanbul Volume-1”. The young artist studied with Nükhet Ruacan at the Department of Music in Bilgi University and graduated from the Vocal Performance Department. Using covers of folk songs as well as her own compositions in her works, the musician published “Jazz Istanbul Volume-2” arranged by Cem Tuncer, thanks to the success of her previous album. Jülide Özçelik has given concerts in numerous local and international festivals during her journey that she started with the aim to make not only jazz, but good music. She will be accompanied by the leading Turkish jazz musicians at her concert to take place at Caddebostan Culture Center within the festival’s schedule.
