About Nevra Ertürk Güngör
Prof. Dr. Nevra Ertürk Güngör holds her bachelor's degree in classical archeology, master's degree in museum studies, and PhD degree in architectural history and theory. She conducted her post-doc research named as ‘museum storage management’ at ICCROM. She interned at the Istanbul Archaeological Museums and the J. Paul Getty Museum, worked as senior researcher at the National Museum of Kenya. She is the Executive Committee Member of the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO and Head of the Tangible Cultural Heritage Expert Committee. She is the Board Member of the Yıldız Technical University Research Center for Preservation of Historical Heritage and ICOMOS Scientific Committee on Risk Preparedness (ICORP) Türkiye. She taught courses at the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Art Works at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, and Istanbul Bilgi University Department of Art and Cultural Management, and she is currently the Head of the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Property at Yıldız Technical University. Nevra Ertürk Güngör’s research interest are; cultural heritage management, risk management in museums, curatorial work and museum storage management.
