Nevra Ertürk
Prof. Dr. Nevra Ertürk holds a bachelor's degree in classical archeology, a master's degree in museum studies, and a PhD degree in architectural history and theory. The first of her post-doc research studies is entitled “reducing earthquake risk to museum collections” which was conducted with the support of the Turkish Cultural Foundation. She carried out her second post-doc research on “museum storage management” at ICCROM in Italy. Between 2000 and 2011, she worked at Museum Studies Graduate Program and Art Management Undergraduate Program at Yıldız Technical University; she served as a Faculty Member and Vice-president of the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Arts Works at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University between 2011-2017. She taught cultural heritage management and museology courses at the Department of Archaeology. Nevra Ertürk is currently the Head of the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Property at Yıldız Technical University. She has taught cultural heritage management and museum history and theory courses at the Department of Art and Cultural Management at Istanbul Bilgi University. Her scientific studies are based on cultural heritage management, risk management in museums and collection management. Between 2014-2018, she was the Executive Committee Member of the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO and Head of the Cultural Heritage Committee within the National Commission. She is the Board Member of the Yildiz Technical University Research Center for Preservation of Historical Heritage and ICOMOS Scientific Committee on Risk Preparedness (ICORP) Turkey.
