Michael Chekhov Acting Technique
Facilitator: Burcu Halacoğlu
Coordinator: Ömer Akgüllü
Hour: 15:00-18:00
This workshop will focus on the Psychological Gesture, one of Michael Chekhov's most distinctive tools. The Psychological Gesture can be described as a movement expressing the character's psychology and carrying an intention. According to Michael Chekhov, psychology encompasses a person's thoughts, feelings, will, and desires. Therefore, through a single movement, the essence reflecting the character's thoughts, feelings, and will is explored. In this three-hour session, we will investigate Psychological Gesture examples physically and through texts.
