Acting Workshop: Berkay Ateş
Successful actor Berkay Ateş, who has made a name for himself both in works from the independent wing of Turkish cinema and in mainstream television productions as well as theater productions, shares his experiences with the festival followers at the "Acting Workshop" that he will held within the scope of the Akbank Short Film Festival.
Born in Istanbul in 1987, Berkay Ateş is a graduate of Mimar Sinan University Theater Department. Berkay Ateş, who wrote, directed and acted in many theater plays throughout his education, later started taking part in many successful movies and TV series. In 2015, he was awarded the Promising Young Actor award at the Adana Golden Boll Film Festival with the movie Frenzy. In 2019, he won the Best Actor award at the Ankara Film Festival with the movie Passed by Censor, and recently the Best Actor award at the 2022 Bosphorus Film Festival with the movie Dark Night.
* All workshops and talks organized as part of the 19th Akbank Short Film Festival are free of charge. Participation is limited to side events of the festival. There is a quota of 15 people for this workshop.
