At the festival, a conversation will take place with the accomplished Hazal Türesan, a renowned name in the theater, television, and cinema world. During the talk, Türesan will share her industry experiences, views on short films, and thoughts on acting with cinema enthusiasts.

About Hazal Türesan

Born on July 20, 1985, in Izmir, Hazal Türesan graduated from the Department of Theatre at the Faculty of Language, History, and Geography at Ankara University. The successful actress, who began her on-camera career with productions such as Deniz Yıldızı and Unutma Beni, which continued their journey on Turkish television for many years, reached a wide audience in 2014 with Kara Para Aşk, a project signed by Ay Yapım that aired in over 100 countries worldwide.

After Kara Para Aşk, Hazal Türesan took on significant roles in productions such as Tatlı İntikam, Mucize Doktor, Fazilet Hanım ve Kızları, Yalancı, and Baba. Most recently, she appeared on television as Beste in the original series Kızıl Goncalar, which premiered in the final days of 2023 and made a significant impact.

Hazal Türesan also featured in series on digital platforms such as BluTV, Netflix, Exxen, and TOD, including Yaşamayanlar, Atiye, Vahşi Şeyler, and most recently Sarmaşık Zamanı. She received great acclaim, particularly for her performance as Emine in the Netflix Turkey Original Series Fatma, directed by Özgür Önurme.

On the big screen, after appearing as a guest star in the joint production of İnsanlar İkiye Ayrılır by Bir Film and BluTV, she returned to cinema in 2024 with Lohusa, which quickly surpassed the 1 million viewer mark upon its release. The actress most recently starred in Bildiğin Gibi Değil, directed by Vuslat Saraçoğlu, which premiered at the Istanbul Film Festival and earned four awards, including the Jury Special Award. The film, which will be released in theaters in April 2025, tells the story of three very different siblings coming together in their hometown of Tokat following the mysterious death of their father.

Hazal Türesan made her stage debut in theatre with Timsah, a production by DasDas, and has been meeting theater lovers since October 2021 with the play Küvetteki Gelinler by Tatbikat Sahnesi, which has drawn attention due to its timely and timeless subject matter. The talented actress will also perform in Salıncak, written and directed by Gülhan Kadim, with Yiğit Sertdemir, which premiered in January 2025. The play will be staged throughout the season in various cities across Turkey, especially in Istanbul.

Most recently, Hazal Türesan joined the second season of BluTV’s successful production Magarsus. She plays Nuran, one of the lead characters in the series, with the first episode of the new season released on March 6.
