Ozan Musluoğlu is one of the most productive and eclectic musicians in the Turkish jazz scene. In 2000, he started to study upright bass in the Department of Music at Istanbul Bilgi University. He has worked with many musicians like Volkan Hürsever, James Lewis, Kürşat And, Marc Johnson, David Friesen, and Dominique Lemerle and organized various workshops. His debut album Coincidence was released by Rec Jazz in 2009. He collaborated with Jeremy Pelt, JD Allen, Danny Grissett, and Darrell Green on his second album 40th Day released by Equinox Music in 2011. He then released two concept albums with several guest appearances: My Best Friends Are Pianists (2012) and My Best Friends Are Vocalists (2015). Musluoğlu hosted a radio show titled “Caz Saati” on TRT Radio 3 for several years. He is also part of TRT Radio Light Music and Jazz Orchestra conducted by Cem Tuncer and continues to work as a producer. The quartet, which currently consists of Ozan Musluoğlu, Barış Doğukan Yazıcı, Kaan Bıyıkoğlu and Ferit Odman will perform at Alan Kadıköy on 1st of October as part of the 33. Akbank Jazz Festival. Kerem Görsev, who has performed on many prestigious stages worldwide and collaborated with stars such as Alan Broadbent, Ernie Watts, and Joe LaBarbera, will be the guest of the night.
