Latife Tekin, Ahmet Balad Coşkun
This event will be conducted by Ahmet Balad Coşkun through his psychoanalytic literary work on writer Latife Tekin's recent novel ‘Manves City and its author Latife Tekin’. The presentation will proceed by approaching psychoanalytic literature concepts such as traumatization, detachment, anchoring through text-author relationship and chosen examples from Latife Tekin texts. Concomitantly, conjunctions and the argument of neologism as a figurative language will be conveyed. In the meetings, we will be listening the author Latife Tekin relating her writing process experience with this presentation.
Ahmet Balad Coşkun, was born in 1962 in İstanbul, educated in medicine and psychiatry. He published novels named ‘İspinoz’, ‘Fransız Balkon’, ‘Acuka’. He continued some of his works related to psychoanalysis and literary theory in some institutions and wrote in limited numbers of magazines. He prepared a radio program called ‘Reality in Narrative’ in Acik Radyo for some time. He is still a member of Gumusluk Academy Foundation advisory committee member.
Latife Tekin, was born in 1957 in Kayseri, moved to İstanbul with her parents when she was nine. Her first novel ‘Sevgili Arsız Ölüm’ was published in 1983, followed by "Berci Kristin Çöp Masalları’ (1984), ‘Gece Dersleri’ (1986), ‘Buzdan Kılıçlar’ 1989, ‘Aşk İşaretleri’ (1995), ‘Ormanda Ölüm Yokmuş’ (2001), ‘Sedat Simavi prize winning ‘Unutma Bahçesi’ (2004), ‘Muniar’ (2006) and ‘Rüyalar ve Uyanışlar Defteri’ in 2009. Her novels qualified as a magical heritage to Turkey’s future were translated to many languages as English, French, German, Italian, Japan, Dutch and Persian.
