Music is heritage in Sesler family. Continuing a tradition of three generations, Ramazan Sesler learned from his father Selim Sesler, who was known as “Coltrane of Clarinet”. He performed with him in many concerts, both in Turkey and abroad. In his performances titled “A Gırnata Legend from Father to Son”, Ramazan Sesler reveals all aspects of his instrument with a wide repertoire that ranges from fine makams to Thrace-Balkan rhythms. Sesler’s debut album “Babadan Oğula” was released in 2016. “A Gırnata Legend from Father to Son” awaits you in the 31st Akbank Jazz Festival, with an orchestra that includes jazz musicians, bringing together Turkish and western instruments.
