There are few rock bands that have influenced jazz musicians as much as “Radiohead” has done. Many musicians and bands, from Brad Mehldau to Christian Scott, have been influenced by this unique band and interpreted Radiohead's songs. What is distinct of “Zapp4” inspired by Radiohead, is that all the members of this band play string instruments. This band of musicians from the Netherlands is very productive with the six albums they released, recorded in jazz form. Zapp4 composes songs as well and critics say that the band “merges improvisation with melody in passionate solos, and there is always a lyrical side to their music even though they play with a terrific energy at times and in serenity at other times.”
