Akbank Sanat's new seminar series “Art and Technology” focuses on the relationship between technology and art by examining AI generated art, digital art productions and new systems that enable generating art artificially, along with new media culture subjects that radically affect contemporary art productions.
In the series moderated by Gözde Mutluer, blockchain, digital intermediaries such as Wombo Dreams, artificial intelligence applications, NFTs that revealing a new sense of property and value phenomenon in art, crypto art, contemplation of video games as piece of art or a considering them as a whole different discipline which bring new perspectives to the dialogue over Machinima subject, the concept of the metaverse concept that opens news doors to a brand new digital universe, will be discussed with the guest speakers who write, draw, talk, and produce on these fields.
The series including four talks, which will begin in January and continue until April, will be held at Akbank Sanat's Multi-Purpose Hall on the first Wednesday of every month. Participation for the seminars will be free and is limited to 120 people.
