Elif is 10 years old, her sister Ayşe is 13. It’s a sticky summer in 1980’s Istanbul. When she has an accident, Ayşe spends the summer lying down. Elif drives her sister mad, for reasons she can’t grasp. Ayşe seems out of reach as if in a distant land.
CV
Born in 1977. She graduated from Boğaziçi University Psychology Department. She received her master in Film Theory from Southampton University. She worked as an editor for Sinema magazine. She made her own film distribution with cinema company Sır Film. She was the editor-in-chief of Total Film. She wrote and directed the short films called Birth and Death together with Uygar Şirin. She is currently writing for the magazine Altyazı. Between the years of 2006-2015 as a member of SİYAD made juries.
