Eşik

In the rapidly changing life cycle, how much can we be aware of what is happening around us and our inner world while we are constantly trying to reach somewhere?

Can we prioritize our inner voice and emotions in the chaos of the city?

Awareness; It is the state of being aware, being awake, and being alive to all the experiences one has had. Due to the rapidly changing scenes and signals around people, concentrating on every situation they live in becomes impossible. When the mind is so busy, people cannot be aware of their thoughts and feelings. At this point, the exhibition puts the concepts of clustering, chaos, environment, self, and awareness at its center. Therefore, the exhibition initiates an analysis process for the individual to question how much they can prioritize their feelings, intuitions, and thoughts in their life cycle.

The exhibition aims to act as an Eşik in the analysis process. Eşik is defined as "the inward point that is effective in the initiation of a reaction". In this context, the Eşik within the exhibition; is used as a step forward to analyze how aware people are of themself and their changing environment. The exhibition invites the viewer to watch themselves from an objective perspective from the outside and take a step forward from the Eşik.

Through the works, it is aimed to emphasize people's reproaches and the points they ignore. Each work opens a different perspective to the question of "Are we aware of it?". In this way, it is aimed that the viewers can come into contact with their state of consciousness from an objective perspective. The exhibition has consisted of two main titles. The works that emphasize the level of awareness of the environment in which the individual lives are in the title of 'Environment'; The works emphasizing the individual's self-awareness are exhibited in the title of 'Self'.

The exhibition brings together works of Ayla Turan, Beyza Boynudelik, Burcu Erden, Eda Soylu, Elmas Deniz, Gönül Nuhoğlu, İrem Tok, Işıl Kapu, Murat Germen, Nermin Er. The viewers, through the works; is aimed to be able to question how well viewers know the city they live in, the streets they live in, the density of the burdens on them, their contact with nature, the pace of their life, and every point they say "I didn't realize".
