Philosophy Seminars - 21st Century Philosophy Problems
"Heidegger and the Crisis of Thinking"
Guest: Kaan Ökten
Moderator: Emre Şan
Heidegger discusses the crisis of thought and notes that the concept of thinking has been obscured and there is insufficient thinking. However, it remains unclear how thinking can be lost or vanish and what type of crisis this entails. Is the disappearance of thinking a linguistic-logical crisis or an ontological crisis? Only an ontological crisis can account for the disappearance of thinking. Is the crisis of thinking also a crisis of truth? This presentation aims to investigate this issue objectively and thoroughly.
