Speaker: Emre Zeytinoğlu
In this seminar, the main squares of a city consisting of symbolic buildings and art monuments will be compared and contrasted with its "invisible", that is, underestimated faces, and thus the historical relationship of the city with culture and civilization. The latter will be transformed into a critical perspective. While doing this, the differences between the developed visions of that city and its practical life will be sought, and the archaeological and anthropological data and its reliability issue will also be discussed with a critical approach. During the speech, you will find out about literary works describing cities, works of art, popular activities, etc. examples will also be presented as images.
