ran Etkin has been considered a rising star in recent years by critics as a jazz clarinetist. The artist, who can expertly play multiple instruments, has a Grammy for his “All About Bullies” project. He chose to make his albums with a different method; Etkin meets with especially local musicians during tours, returns back to New York with new ideas in music and gets into the studio with his band. Having an academic identity as well, the artist’s projects with children also receives great enthusiasm. With a method he named “Timbalooloo”, Etkin helps children to easily distinguish and comment on various music genres from Herbie Hancock and Mozart to African Music. Telling that it was Louis Armstrong who changed his life at every turn, Etkin will be releasing the album he devoted to Benny Goodman, another clarinetist he is a fan of, in 2015.
