Ray Blue Band
New York based saxophonist Ray Blue began studying the clarinet before switching to saxophone. His improvisations stay true to the roots of jazz with touches of Blues and African melodies. His smooth and fluent style makes him a sought after persona for jazz bands. Accompanying masters such as Benny Powell, Clifford Adams, Steve Turre and Ted Curson, Ray Blue has taken the stage with the bands Sun Ra Arkestra, Cotton Club All Stars Band, Harlem Blues and Jazz Band. Leading the drive for training young musical talents, Ray Blue is the founder of the NGO named Cross-Cultural Connections, Inc. which promotes jazz training and performance sharing. Described by Down Beat magazine as "Not just a good composer, but a great artist who aims at making people smile with music", Ray Blue will take the stage 2 nights in a row with his friends in Turkey.
