Sustainability and Culture & Art
Within the scope of the 'Contemporary Art and Curatorship' Seminar Program, Özlem Ece, The Director of the IKSV Cultural Policy Studies Department, will do a seminar on the "Sustainability and Culture & Art" based on the culture and art policies report published by IKSV on April 19, 2021.
The world of culture and arts, which has a strong commitment to change against the ecological crisis that threatens the present and future of the planet we live in, also feels the responsibility to transform its own practices. For this reason, providing conditions for creative voices to be louder and providing tools to aid transformation is one of the most pressing issues of cultural politics.
In this seminar entitled "Sustainability and Culture & Art"; The things that can be done for ecological transformation in the field of culture and arts will be opened to discussion through new insights and practices inspired by the climate movement. Green tools that can help culture and arts actors who want to take concrete steps in this way are offered by Assoc. Dr. Hande Paker. It will be presented based on the report titled “Culture and Art for Ecological Transformation” prepared by Hande Paker.
