Theo Croker
Theo Croker, praised by critics as one of the promising young generation trumpet players from the US, is also the representative of a special legacy by being the grandson of Grammy award-winning trumpet player Doc Cheatham. He is also a talented composer and singer, and does not hide his loyalty to the traditional jazz. His intellect and talent has gained him the appreciation of Wynton Marsalis, the living trumpet legend. During the seven years he spent in China before his professional career, he worked in the fusion/rock, R&B, hip-hop and blues genres to improve his jazz perception. After returning to the US, Theo Croker started working with the master jazz vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater. Until today, Croker has released three albums, all of which received positive comments and his last album was produced by Bridgewater. The young trumpet player, who rapidly increased the number of his followers by fusing traditional and modern jazz, represents today’s American jazz music.
