Conversation Series
"Dance Talks: Towards Better"
Project Design/Organizers: Kineo Dergi - Deniz Özgültekin, Maya Çelem
Organized by Kineo Dergi, which aims to support and increase written production in the field of dance and performance arts as an online magazine, "Dance Talks: Towards Better", hosted by Akbank Sanat, sheds light on the current state of the dance field in Turkey. This program will last for four weeks and different names from the field will share their experiences and thoughts on the subject. In the talk series, sharing will be made on what is done right and what is wrong in the field of dance in Turkey on the basis of individuals and institutions.
Within the scope of "Dance Talks: Towards Better", we will come together with the actors in the Turkish dance scene and talk about the ongoing debates, problems, experiences and possible solutions in the field where they work and dream of working. Our aim in this speech series, to which all individuals interested in this field are invited, is to initiate a collective thinking process with a sense of solidarity. What might we need to do differently to increase the visibility and value of the dance field? As a result of “Dance Talks: Towards Better,” participants may find some answers or raise more questions.
All talks will be held in Turkish.
* To participate in the talks within the program, you can go to the event page of the talk you want to attend and create your registration using the "Register" button on the page.
