The Andrei Racu Folk Quartet was founded 3 years ago. He is made up of professional musicians who are passionately playing traditional Romanian music. As a repertoire, the Quartet choose traditional Romanian pieces and suites from all parts of Romania. Andrei Racu, the leader of this quartet, is a violinist with a great folkloric experience, since he acts as instrumental soloist in several cultural institutions in Romania (CNC Tinerimea Romana). He graduated the Conservatory - National Music University of Bucharest, violin section. For the moment, he works as instrumental soloist at the National Youth Center "Romanian Youth", the folk music orchestra of the Carpathians, and as instrumental in the folk music Orchestra of the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Society in Bucharest. Dorina Ursuianu Baciu is a proffesionist of the navy, she is a teacher, graduated the Music Conservatory in Bucharest at the Pan flute section, class of famous Gheorghe Zamfir. Florinel Mihalache is a cembalo virtuoso, playing this instrument since the age of 11. Currently he works as an instrumentist at the folk music Orchestra "Carpathian Wreath".
