Ece Göksu and Neşet Ruacan will be performing for the first time as a duo at the festival this year. They will be at Akbank Sanat on September 27th, playing jazz classics as well as their own compositions. Being raised in a family consisting of musicians, Ece Göksu studied jazz and has played at Nardis Jazz Club, İstanbul Jazz Center, İstanbul Jazz Festival and Afyon International Jazz Festival. She worked with Nancy Marano, Cecil Bridgewater and Mulgrew Miller in New Jersey and focused on Billie Holiday’s compositions and lyrics in her master thesis. Neşet Ruacan learned to play the classical guitar when he was 10. He continued to study jazz theory both in the USA and England. He has contributed to countless records and still records with international musicians. This creative duo will combine their styles and salute jazz lovers from all over Istanbul.
