Jazz music, when compared to main stream music –and even to many other alternative genres– is popular enough neither in Turkey, nor in other parts of the world. One of the reasons behind this is the fact that listeners somehow abstain from jazz music. On the other hand, the jazz musicians have really hard time when trying to survive in this small market. So, during this panel discussion, called “Everybody Loves Jazz”, which will be moderated by Elif Çağlar Muslu, a Turkish jazz musician, the listeners and the musicians will come together to discuss this double-edged problem. While listeners will be able to ask about anything that hampers their mind, the musicians will tell how things work on their side. So, through communication, mutual empathy and music, hopefully, some suggestions will be made to ease the pain of both parties. We highly recommend you not to miss this panel, which will also host little musician-listener improvisation experiences.
