Akbank Jazz Festival honors Turkish jazz veteran Emin Fındıkoğlu who, through the years, wore many hats as pianist, arranger, festival director, educator, and who now proudly leads his new big band EF +12 which, ever since its inception in 2015, grew to be a 15-men strong outfit displaying top Turkish talents and playing charts penned by its leader, in addition to one very special arrangement of “A Night in Tunisia” written in late fifties by Arif Mardin for Boston's Herb Pomeroy big band.
