Ron Carter Golden Striker Trio
Ron Carter, already with 2 Grammys to his name, received recognition from the French government by being named Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters. Considered one of the greatest legends of jazz, Mr. Carter started off his career playing alongside Jaki Byard and Eric Dolphy. He then joined the Miles Davis Quintet as a permanent member. Mr. Carter has contributed to about 2500 albums, making him one of the most productive jazz musicians of all-time. He has the privilege of sharing the stage and covering a wide range of genres with the likes of Tommy Flanagan, Bill Evans, Dexter Gordon, B.B. King, and the Kronos Quartet. Having composed soundtracks for many classic movies like “Round Midnight”, Mr. Carter has also produced widely esteemed works in the field of authorship and education.
