Marlis
Poland, Turkey / Fiction / 14' / 35mm / Color / 2004
Wanting to leave, not being able to leave and finally being left by that very person forever. And because of your own fault… This should be the beginning of the end. Marlis does a good job in transmitting that painful feeling. The story of the film is build up on a Polish couple’s holiday in Turkey. The course of their relationship is passed on to us solely by the man. Warm colors and muggy weather makes us feel the vicious circle of the relationship without much need for dialogues.
