Konuşmacı: Ebru Yetişkin
What does the term ‘contemporary art’ mean? What are the present-day art practices that do not fit into definitions like “the current art”, “contemporary art” and “new media art”? How could an understanding and practice of art that is transdisciplinary and is aiming at a hybrid practice of research develop in Turkey? The sociologist, art critic and curator Ebru Yetişkin will be sharing her study notes on contemporary art that she has accumulated during the last 5 years while in Turkey and abroad, and will be discussing her views on paratactic works.
