Sustainable Design Talks - Without A Trace
“Touching Spaces through Earth”
Guest Speaker: Mono Earth
Moderator: Nur Gayretli
The story of MonoEarth, which uses compressed earth technology that produces no waste during production and is one hundred percent recyclable back to nature at the end of its use, as well as its various projects on different scales in this field, will be discussed.
Mono Earth consists of earth artists and designers who aim to make the beauty of the natural world the subject of art. While our work primarily focuses on Compressed Earth, we also utilize various earth construction techniques and explore the possibilities of raw earth in different scales and contexts. One of our main goals is to rethink the role of earth as a material through design and art, and to create new perceptions of this material on both local and international scales. Additionally, through workshops, we share our excitement about the potential and beauty of this material with others.
