TALKS ON HISTORY OF OUR THEATRE
AKBANK SANAT & THEATER FOUNDATION OF TURKEY (TTV)
JANUARY 2023 – JUNE 2023
It is a series of conversations that make people question and rethink some of the facts that were and/or were not mentioned in the official theatre history of Turkey, with strong references. With the topics and guests that change every month, aim is to create a new discussion environment by going beyond the stereotyped approach and understanding and to open space for different reading styles apart from the official understanding.
One of the main goals of “Talks on History of Our Theatre” moderated by Noyan Ayturan is to underline that theatre is not only a stage art, but also an important source that sheds light on our social memory while reconsidering the controversial points and gaps of our theatre history from social, political and cultural perspectives.
